After agreeing earlier this month to release record amounts of oil from strategic petroleum reserves, the International Energy Agency (IEA) on Friday put forward recommendations to ease oil price pressure on consumers, such as teleworking and avoiding air travel. The International Energy Agency said its recommendations are actions governments, businesses and households can take to reduce the pressure on consumers from the recent surge in energy prices.

The recommendations include working from home, lowering highway speed limits by at least 10 km/h and avoiding flying when other modes of transportation are available, the International Energy Agency said.
